Honest Intellectual Inquiry

Honi soit qui mal y pense.*

NOTE: It's possible that you arrived at this site via an outdated link. If that is the case. please check the URL above, or at the very bottom of this page (address, i.e. http://www.intellectual-inquiry.com/index.htm) and if they don't match, you could be in someone else's frame. Please update your link to this site, assuming you wish to do so, of course... by clicking here:

My paltry attempt to put a tiny mark on the vastness of the World Wide Web is somewhat akin to the belief that one tiny white dwarf star would be noticed among all the billions in the Universe today. It seems the supreme audacity to think I could possibly compete with the vast multitudes of sites out there in WebLand. It makes one feel almost as a speck of dust in Carl Sagan's universe, so I'm overjoyed when my site has been seen & used. Further work must always be done to a site like this, and it will, time permitting.
Below you will find links to a variety of subject matter, which I would like to think others will find as fun, useful and informative as I do. I will also be finding untrodden paths from time to time, recommended links I can trust, and whatever else I can think of, so I might justify the page title of "Honest Intellectual Inquiry."
        "...What fools we mortals be!"

Warning: This page will be under continual construction... forever...

For a bit about me --

I took the cyberspace name of "SandSurfer" since I have spent much of my life in one desert or another. For instance, my home as a teen was Saudi Arabia, as my father worked in the oil industry there. So a virtual home for me is The Aramco-Brats Home Page. Also, my high school alma mater, The American Community School in Beirut, Lebanon, although not considered desert, is in the Middle East (otherwise almost completely desert). And here in the Sonoran Desert is Tucson, Arizona, where you will find, this year in November, the best little SF, Fantasy & Horror Convention in Arizona, TusCon, of which I was co-founder in 1974. Check out the exciting History of TusCon page, last November 01, 2011.

Please contact me at SandSurfer, BUT you'll need to delete the "nospam" part of the email address before sending. I'd love to hear any comments and/or suggestions about contents, etc. If you find any broken links, or if you know of any great links I've missed in the above categories, let me know that too. I want this page to be the best possible. And please also keep in mind this is a work in progress, so suggestions will be happily received.
