James Tiptree, Jr. Page A.K.A. Alice Sheldon, the genius SF writer whose work from 1968-85 shows her brilliance. In 1975 Robert Silverberg praised her work as "distinctly male", thinking her stories could never have been written by a woman. By 1978 the secret of her identity was "out."
